pyrimid vs. prism & cone vs.cylinder (surface area and volume

The surface area  of a pyrimid is half the surface area of a pyrimid and the volume of a pyrimid is 1/3 of the volume of the prisim if they are the same heigth and base.

the surface area of a cone is also half the surface area of a cylinder and the volume of a cone is also 1/3 of the volume of a cylinder.

the area formula is the same for rectangles, squares and parrallelograms because each have 2 parrallel sides.
the length of tennesse is 440 miles and the width is 120 miles. using the a=b*h formula, the area is 52800. the actual area is 42146 square miles.

i am still confused on when you need to use factoring or the quadratic formula.

chapter 10: circles

In chapter 10, i have learned about circles. circles may have inscribed angles. a part of the circumference is an arc. circles have radius , diameter, circumference, chords and more. a career that uses circle is an architect. they us circles to build new structures and create designs.
